Committee for the Construction Craft Laborers’ Apprenticeship
Program has reinstated accepting applications and or letters of
intent to hire for apprentices effective June 1, 2010
through August 31, 2010.
Additionally: effective
September 1, 2010, the Construction Craft Laborers’
Apprenticeship Program will again suspend accepting
applications for apprenticeship during the months of
September, October, November and December 2010, and January,
February, March, April and May 2011. |

Construction Craft Laborers do demolition work on existing buildings and
structures and perform environmental clean-up on jobsites containing:

Educational Requirements:
| If you want to become a Construction
Craft Laborer, you need to possess |
| good math, human relations and
communication skills, and be able to |
| read a rule. You must be able to work
as a part of a TEAM and you must |
| enjoy working outdoors. |
As a Construction Craft Laborer Apprentice you will complete:
|

288-368 hours of
off-the-job related skill training at the Laborers-AGC Training Center. The Training
Center is a campus style facility situated on 175 acres east of High Hill, Missouri - the
Center has its own dormitory housing, laundry facilities, classrooms, outdoors 'hands-on'
areas, student lounge, recreation room, dining hall (even a lake for after hours
recreation). |

4,000 hours of on-the-job
training under supervision of a qualified and competent journey level laborer. |

accepted
on Tuesdays through Thursdays |
| between the hours
of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. |
| at the LABORERS-AGC Training
Center (High Hill, MO). |

DIRECTIONS: The LABORERS-AGC
Training Center is located approximately 55 miles west of Lambert St. Louis
International Airport
on the south side of Interstate 70, 1 mile east of High Hill (exit 179) |
Applicants must bring proof
of age (18 years of age or older), and proof of |
| education (completion
of grade 12). Applicants are provided with a list of |
| contractors that are eligible to employ
apprentices and must obtain a |
| written offer of employment from one of
them. Apprentices are subject to |
| drug testing and physical examination
prior to employment. |

Construction Craft Laborers
take pride in the fact that they have a hand in every structure built in this country -
below ground as well as above. They are one of the first crafts on the job and the last
craft off the job. |

Education:

A Construction Craft Laborer
will usually complete apprenticeship within 30 months. During that time he/she will
complete 11-15 weeks of in-school training. Additional advancement, upgrade and
cross-training classes are available upon completion of apprenticeship. |

Options:

Some Construction Crafts
Laborers specialize in the highway or commercial building construction, site excavation
and grading, concrete or masonry work, sewer/water line installation or environmental
abatement. Most job superintendents on highway, concrete construction, and sewer/water
main projects have construction craft laborer backgrounds. |

Apprentices who completed their working hours and classroom training in 2009
were formally graduated from the Apprenticeship Program at a banquet
held at The Columns Banquet & Conference Center in St. Charles, MO on April 15, 2010.
