CLASS APPLICATION INFORMATION
Classes are open to construction laborers who are members of Locals 42-110 (St. Louis), 660 (St. Charles), 662 (Jefferson City), 840 (Rolla),955 (Columbia), and 1104 (Cape Girardeau) and have been employed by contractors contributing to the training fund.
Class schedules and application forms are available from your local union office, the Training Center or on our web site www.laborers-highhill.org. You must complete a separate application form for each class you are interested in. Members should limit applications to no more than three (3)applications per schedule.
MEALS - LODGING - INSTRUCTION - TOOLS - EQUIPMENT - SUPPLIES - CLASSROOM MATERIALS and TRAVEL EXPENSE are all provided by the Training Center.
Return your application form to your local union office - the local union office will verify information and forward your application to the training center. The Training Center cannot accept applications that have not been processed through your Local Union Office. The training center will mail a “Notice-to-Attend” complete with all details of the training to your home address. If you later return to work or are unable to attend the class for other reasons, simply call the Training Center (day, night or weekends at 636-585-2391) and leave a message on the recorder withdrawing from the class.
UNEMPLOYED MEMBERS: You may continue to receive Missouri unemployment benefits when you take classes since you are available for work while at the Training Center. Missouri Law (RSMo. Section 288.055) provides for this. Complete details and further information will be included with your “Notice-to-Attend” in the “Rules and Regulations”.
EMPLOYED MEMBERS: Some contractors compensate Members who are willing to take the time to take training classes that benefit themselves and their employers. Talk to your job superintendent or project manager, or contact your contractor regarding your company’s particular policy
IMPORTANT - NOTE
Mail/return your completed application form to the local union office in your area. The local union office will verify your application form and forward it to the training fund office. The Training Center cannot accept applications that have not been processed through your local union office.
